What does the Gold Armour do?

Is it basically reduced damage intake? Unlike the Creepy armour enemies can hit through this.

From what I have seen so far, equiping 2 pieces of each armour type basically enables you to take a free hit for each piece, so 2 leaf armour and 2 bone armour gives you 4 hits without damage or much less damage. Each hit seems to remove and destroy 1 piece of armour though.

Could be wrong mind, I dont get hit often, just the times I have I noticed my armour was gone.

Ahhh yeah I know the other types of armour work that way, but theres a diff type I found in a bunker it's almost similar to a cosmetic, but where my armour stat is there is just a gold outline. Was curious if it did anything because I still take damage w/ it on opposed to the other types of amour as you listed. Thanks heaps.

The golden armour is needed for the story line. It's not a protection!

It actually does protect you and is the best armor in the game as it cannot break. It negates a certain percent of damage and applies much less damage to your health. You do not get "armor health" but instead just take reduced damage, which allows you to take 3 hits from a creepy mutant before losing a bar of health.

It's very op and considered end game armor.

Edit: Nvm, I suppose you mean those spider creatures underground only. Definitely works on them.

Yeah, the Golden Armour did not protect against anything when I wore it... either make it something TRULY special for the players that have taken long enough in the game to finally aquire it or at least then don't let it drop the other equipped armour (e.g. creepy armour etc.) when putting it on!

It only prevents damage from that one type of enemy (at least, according to the wiki).

It's basically to open the golden gate and also demons do less damage to you if you have it on.
