A way to make a house boat (kind of)

If you wait until winter (probably like 10 days) the lakes will freeze allowing you to build on top of them. Once the next season kicks in and the water defrosted, your house will be floating. Make sure you have a Zipline going to your house as you can't jump from the water into your house

Theirs no way to sink your house, is there? like if you put 50 rock holders on the roof or something? It would be cool to make an underwater base :D

I haven't really tested it extensively, my first idea when I saw the frozen lake by my base was "oh can I build here?" Made a floor and sure enough it was still standing, I couldn't get up on top of it though as it was too small for a Zipline to get me on top

But now that I think about it, maybe this is why the devs didn't add the boats to the game, can you imagine what would happen to your boat in a frozen lake?

I imagine it would just get stuck in place. The bigger issue I see is that there's a lot of waterfalls or small streams that boats wouldn't really be able to traverse, limiting them to basically just the surrounding ocean. Not sure how boats would fit in the game

So does this work in the sense that when the lake thaws the whole structure is standing still, just kind of "there" on top of the water? If so I wonder if they intended for that. Either way that's really, really cool.

I hope they add a house boat platform, so you can free from build your own unique house boat. Also some preset blueprints ofc, but free from would be pretty sick

If they're adding subs then we need jets or helicopters. What are you going to fire at? Cannibal camps?

they would "fit" just as much as unicycles. so doesnt matter what "fits" clearly.
