YES. I hate the snow. It was fun being able to visit it in the last game.

Yes, I dont like winter, I alway have to turn down my settings when winter arrives. It’s annoying plus everything looks bad during winter. I hope they add the option to turn seasons off completely or something.

I'm hoping so too, trying to cut down trees in winter caused massive lag due to the snow falling off the trees.
I am a big fan of seasons. It is actual progress within games at a time where development in general is stagnating.

You aren't after a feature to 'turn off seasons' as much as you are after a feature to ALWAYS be one season. There is no such thing as it just 'not bieng a season'. I don't mind such a feature being implemented, more gameplay options is always a perk.

I think that for the seasons to be optional, versus just changing the day length and season length, is going too far - is fundamental to what this game is. I hope the game doesn't get changed too much in it's fundamental ways.

This :asword:
There's huge performance drops during winter it's annoying.

On the other hand Autumn is the best season imo with the beautiful colors and warmer lighting.

I like the seasons too, but the settings make them either too fast or way too long. The winter lag makes me sad too. Being able to set your game to one season forever would be a nice additional option in custom settings

I know this is not super-helpful to anyone who is already really invested in their current run, but you can make a new game where there are realistic season lengths (and even day lengths). You could easily set the game to Spring, explore the entire map several times over, and build an entire log cabin resort before the first snowflake fell.

I’m playing on realistic and I do understand the word “realistic” but I feel like 90 days of each season are a little too much. There needs to be a middle ground between 10 days for a season and 3 months.

I don't see that it would take much effort for the devs to give us sliders for some of these player preferences - it isn't rocket science. The following could benefit from this:

1) Season length
2) Item respawn time
3) Player damage multiplier
4) Enemy damage multiplier
5) Tree respawn time

...etc...

+1 because why not. Options are always a nice thing.

Yes please.

It's so funny that winter is worse performance, I thought it was gonna be the opposite. In the other seasons you have moving flora, more shading and shadows... and the game runs better. I know there's some particle effects in winter, sort of misty and fog-like, not to mention snow. So I guess that's the FPS decrease.

I'm fine with skipping winter if it was an option. It's kind of cool but I don't like it all that much.

I don't really lag per se, but I do drops frames. I might drop to the mid 50s or so, as opposed to the mid 60s to 70 in the greener time of year:) It depends on if there are winter particle effects occuring though, I think.
