You aren't after a feature to 'turn off seasons' as much as you are after a feature to ALWAYS be one season. There is no such thing as it just 'not bieng a season'. I don't mind such a feature being implemented, more gameplay options is always a perk.
There's huge performance drops during winter it's annoying.
On the other hand Autumn is the best season imo with the beautiful colors and warmer lighting.
1) Season length
2) Item respawn time
3) Player damage multiplier
4) Enemy damage multiplier
5) Tree respawn time
...etc...
I'm fine with skipping winter if it was an option. It's kind of cool but I don't like it all that much.
I don't really lag per se, but I do drops frames. I might drop to the mid 50s or so, as opposed to the mid 60s to 70 in the greener time of year:) It depends on if there are winter particle effects occuring though, I think.
