Depends on your attention span, the story is complete ♥♥♥♥, and building is kinda lacking, but if you’ve got the creativity you can free build your base

The base building was my favorite part of the original forest and they made a very interesting system in this one. I haven't explored most of the caves yet and haven't finished the story but I've spent about 20 hours building so that part makes it worth it for me

It is definitely playable solo. It can get more difficult solo when doing the caves due to the large number of enemies and how dark the caves are but it is not impossible by any means.

I’m having a blast just with Virginia and Kelvin. If they add the trees regrowing tonight (hopefully), then it’ll be even better

It's great with multiplayer and, TBH, I really love it in single player though the dynamics are different. In single player I base-build and I find it cathartic in the extreme. Great after a busy day or a bad day or just to jump into and not notice the hours fly by. Of course you have Kelvin - and in single player its damn near impossible not to get attached to him.

I stopped doing MP years ago and like to build and explore so this game works for me exceedingly well. Everyone is different so it all depends on what you like in a game.

Ive tried MP games too, but decided single player is for me. That way I can play how and when I want.
