is there anyway to disable snapping when building?

I am trying to make a base and I am planning on having a platform I stand and shootdown behind the wall but when I try and place the wall really close it shows the arrows and not the circles so is there anyway to disable snapping?

Don't believe so, but some kind of snapping cycle would work wonders I think, so you can cycle through the closeby options of what snapping points are available. This invisible aiming trying to catch the snap you want is frustrating sometimes.
