Mission quests?

Any idea what the mission is?
I go every where but i have no idea, what i should do for the next step.
I think it would more helpful if you know, what you need to do for the story line.

Something like:
- Go there, for a key etc.

But the only minimap icons, are dead people with nothing helpfully for me.
and the green things are golf buggys or deangens with no good loot.
What i do wrong?
