How to Revive / Respawn Kelvin if he died (savefile edit)

Kelvin is kind of an idiot, but he's OUR idiot. A useful idiot even. Kelvin won't die due to NPCs, they'll just put him in a downed state and leave him alone until revived.. but what if you accidentally shoot him? Or smack him 30 times with an axe by mistake? Or even experience the glitch where he CAN'T be revived in a down state, so you save/reload and come back to a corpse? Currently there's no way in-game to revive him. Once he's gone, he's a permanent meat trophy. However, there is a way to bring him back using meta-magic.

First make sure Kelvin is dead. Not "mostly dead" but entirely. If you have the glitch where he's hunched over but can't be revived, give him a few good axe whacks or put a bullet in his head. Save and reload to make sure he's completely dead. This isn't a fix if Kelvin glitches through the map (although there are coordinates in these files, you could theoretically teleport him 1000ft in the air and drop him back to the surface, then revive)

This process involves editing your save files. PERFORM THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Navigate to:

C:\Users\-username-\AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves\-savefile-\SinglePlayer\

Find the file called "GameStateSaveData.json" and open with Notepad

Change: "IsRobbyDead\":true, \
To: "IsRobbyDead\":false, \

Save and close this file

Now find the file called "SaveData.json"

Press Ctrl+F to search for: TypeID\":9
(Note, there will be more than one of these, it will be the first to show up when you search)

A few options down you'll see: "State\"6, \
Change this to: "State\"2, \

A few more options down you'll see: {\"Health\":0.0, \
(This may also show {\Health\":NaN, \ )

Change this to {\"Health\":100.0, \

Save and close this file

Load your saved game and put Kelvin back to work! He will re-animate where he was previously left rotting.

You can copy/paste the multiplayer file to the singleplayer folder and load up your multiplayer save in singleplayer, so would assume so.

I can't kill my Kevin. He's trapped under the frozen river. He moves from under the frozen river. I've tried to get as far away as possible, and still he's still there running in circles. I manually spent several days camping until the lake thawed. And even thawed, it remains down there, unable to emerge or move to the shore.
Any tips to get him out of there?

In the save file you can modify the Z coordinate to teleport him above the ice. Save a copy and play around with different values.

Bless, I think mine died from a glitch. He was fine when I quit the game last night but when I re-loaded, he was deadge. Bookmarking this too haha

Same thing happened to me. I logged when he was injured, came back to a corpse.

I tried this myself but it did not work. Even after he was killed by the Worm Mutant creature, the file still shows "IsRobbyDead\":false. I have gone to make sure he is dead and I can't heal him, but no luck. What else could be happening here?
