Building over ice

I built some floors over a frozen lake and i can see the struts go into the ice in parts that were too deep to build before, are these builds gonna break when the ice melts or will they stay?? i kinda dont wanna go the couple days just to see my base explode cus of the ice melting

yeah no worrys i buit defensive walls over a frozen lake and theyre still up, they do float in the air tho so keep that in mind

I know how they could make this more realistic ....... Give you some kit, throw you on a real island, which by the way was inhabited by cannibals and genetically created mutants and not give you a save option to load backup when you die 🙂

Depending on how far you are building from the shore, might be worth making a bridge or a zip-line while things are still frozen. I had one that I couldn't get into until the next freeze because it was just out of jump distance and the shore wouldn't let me build out further from it.

Yeah, because it would be stupid. This is the only way we can build in water. Because dev's seem to Lack knowledge in some Departments.

Otherwise i really can't understand while there are so many restrictions and day one Bugs...

Yes, that's exactly the question when the devs will change that the design will sink into the water after a patch.I'd like to build also a nice big konstuktion on a big lake but ......^^

A simple fix would be to add an ice pick to the game that could be used to make circular holes for you to place logs in for support beams for when the ice melts. (Those circular holes could also be used for ice fishing.)
