The ending??

i'm not exactly complaining, but uhhh.. what in the ♥♥♥♥ was that ending? we were in a golden cube, then we saw a sci-fi futuristic looking city, then a cave and behind us was... whatever that blob was, and then suddenly we're outside, and also that guy that duplicated himself. i am aware that it most likely just isn't complete yet but i am very confused.

You're confused because the game isn't complete yet. Forest didn't even have an ending when it first went early access.

Yeah, I sat there for a moment thinking what the hell before deciding it was early access and my fault for expecting it to be done.

So little information in the game now, really REALLY hope they flesh out the story a lot more.

no the story is complete tho.. you have 2 endings which i did both but the game itself is not complete like a lot of building stuff is missing but story is done yeah

Spoilers I suppose but if someone is in a thread about the ending and not expecting spoiler,s they are not bright -

Unless I missed gigantic parts of the story somehow, there is almost no story at all. You show up, crash, guy hits you, you wander around with a few scraps of information in notes and stuff, you get knocked out when the guy who knocked you out after the crash shooting at the billionaire with some other armed men, you wander into the cube after a long cave, then you are at the helicopter.

Literally no explanation of any of the events going on, who the scientist guy is, why the one guy duplicates, how the helicopter crew knew to come get the guy after months missing, why your chopper was shot down, etc.

to be honest, think that weird thing in the golden cube and helicopter is just a temporary place holder for now, but i think my question is how the ♥♥♥♥ kelvin made it into the cave lmao

The blob you see at the end is the "villian" in the story that punches you, and just before the cube closes you can see he didnt make it in. The city.... idk. The creators imagination I guess

I absolutely loved the first game, the story is decent in sotf. Based on what we have seen I think it will be just like the first game, the story release partially finished and we will get the full thing as time goes on. Blob was the guy who shot down the helicopter at the start, he tried to get under the door but got stuck outside

They already worked years on this game and the story is finished. Ea is only around 6 months so polishing and adding some crafting stuff is gonna happen

yes agree the ending is very bad, we definitely need the next updatets a newer better ending

yea how did kelvin finaly use his brain to enter a dungeon
