how do I change difficulty?

*sigh* Alright. So I started a game on Normal and played bout 2.5 hours, then restarted once I learnt some things, turns out the lack of cannibals wasn't luck. I had accidentally put peaceful mode. I've spent 3 hours on this save and honestly I ain't abandoning it. I've done way too much and as a singleplayer gamer it will be way too much work to restart.

Is there a way to change? Console maybe like the first game? Or am I stuck with a huge base and nothing to defend from? Lol. At least peaceful seems more creative at best...

I wonder if editing the GameStateSaveData.json works?
Located under your saves under:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves

There is a value:
\"GameType\":\"Custom\"
I think if you change that it should adjust the difficulty. But there might be more too this as I don't see the subvalues under custom (like enemyhealth / armor).

choose your latest file And look for the following files:

GameSetupSaveData.json
Change THIS "StringValue\":\"Normal\" to "StringValue\":\"Hard\"

Anyone try this on a multiplayer game? I did what was suggested here, but when I loaded the game and saved again it reverted to the original difficulty.
