Cannibal Camp Respawn

Do Cannibals respawn after cleaning out their camps? Do the items at camps respawn as well? How do camps work? Are they always at fixed locations? Thanks!

From my playtime, camps are at fixed locations, the cannibals themselves dont seem to respawn, but the items seem to respawn when re-opening the game. I haven't tested it directly, I know I've been to a camp, looted it clean, done some other things, saved, got off for a while, and when I got back on and would wander near the same already cleared camp, items and boxes had respawned.

From what I've gathered, yes. Everything, outside of caves, respawns. Cave enemies do not, apparently.

Hmm cannot agree on that, just went back into the cave to progress deeper, and there were again a few right after the entrance, I think they respawn, 100% sure I killed all there

You're right. Just went back to a cave, because I missed something, and half of the creatures spawned back. Not all though... Weird.

restarting the game respawns the loot and the enemies.

You're right. Just went back to a cave, because I missed something, and half of the creatures spawned back. Not all though... Weird.

Hoped that it would be again as in the first part, maybe its a bug, that would be possible, but I dont think so.

Didnt restart the game, came back a few hours later, also didnt quit to main menu and loaded back in, stayed in the same session when the respawn in the cave happened.

i have experienced respawning enemies within 5 meters of me. i went to a camp. killed like 4 cannibals/mutants. was about to start digging for one of those sites and watched them respawn right in front of me. poof out of thin air lol

Lol. I have noticed the game likes to spawn cannibal raids/groups behind you when you're not looking. The same with Virginia.

I guess they respawn after some time, and in bigger numbers.

I cleared the scuba gear cave to get it, but forgot the taser at the start of the game.
Visited much later, just for the lolz of getting a taser.
I had tons of enemies, in areas I previously cleared, and they were in huuuge numbers. Had to break a sweat even with shotgun, revolver, crossbow etc.
