What are berries for? What about traps?

Obviously not for eating since I can´t see the meter move, I planted a blueberry bush in a standalone planter, see where it goes. The chick with 3 legs digs it as she looks like she is eating from it all the time, so maybe that it´s purpose?

I have like 10 traps in the forest and none have caught anything so far .. and yes .. seen bunnies and squirrels in that area. Have had them for about 4 days.

My fish traps stays empty too. Maybe it's only function if you can see some fish around. Anyway atm to gather food is difficould to me. Not like in TF where food was respawning and berries satisfied. I think there is a long way to go for the SOTF.... we will see if the devs are able to come close to TF gameplay quality.

Had some fish traps next to some fish for like 20 days with nothing, same with a bunch of small animal traps, I would guess they are bugged.

Take Kelvin over to some water and then tell him to 'get->fish->and->drop here'. He'll pull more food out of the water than you can imagine, enough to feed a whole server, even when the water freezes over. I would think this will get nerfed tho.

Ye.. Followers seem to eat from those planted berrys. If its "needed" is another question. IDK

Getting food couldnt be more easy than letting Kelvin fish, so no use for any other method tbh...

they do fill your thirst and maybe hunger a little. If there were a pouch that you can gather them in and eat quickly out of, like in the first game, they would actually be useful. At the moment i feed myself on the chopped off, sometimes uncooked cannibal limbs, this will probably get nerfed
