Kelvin the uselss

So , perhaps I am using this nimrod wrong. However, he will maybe gather something for a minute. Then sits his happy ass down. He can't fight. What am I doing wrong here ?

Also , any way to deter the freaks ? I am having frequent visitors here. Little chimp dudes, head lamp fellas , 8 ' giant etc. And they are not being very polite. I tried to avoid confrontation but the homies had to get cut. Now I killed like ..12 of them. So they're mad. I'm mad. It is not a good situation.

I don't know his full use yet, but he's so far best for clearing areas of trees and such and for being a pack mule for gathering logs as you can tell him to go out and get logs and bring them back to your spot.

same here, it was so often I couldn't cut more than a few trees at a time before getting attacked again. And not sure how I feel about having to place each log in a wall. I hope there's an option to build walls like the 1st game because it is sloooow going for me.

See that is where the problem starts lol. He will get maybe 2-5 logs. Then sits his lazy ass down. Do I need to feed him ? Does he need fed by the player ? I see him munch berries but idk.

so you did notice you can hold G I think to swithc books ? One is the old style with blueprints. I use that for a basic base. Currently I am trying to build a defensive wall. But KELVIN THE USELESS is not helping. Also I am having swarm of freaks show up.

Water source is needed. He can finish a building if you set the blueprint. Otherwise you build everything yourself. ^^

I was no where near. It just began with them getting curious. Then they slapt the ♥♥♥♥ outta Kelvin. I stepped in. Now 12 dead freaks later there is big beef on my hill.

I don't know, he usually just keeps gathering for me, you don't need to give him anything, at least I haven't figured out what you can give him yet as nothing has come up. He'll sometimes take breaks, but he's definitely been helpful since there isn't a log sled in the game.

Best I can figure out is he has is own stamina resource like players and when it drains from tasks and weather he 'takes a break' then resumes when it resets. I see this behavior more in Winter when stamina and log gathering don't mix very well.

I kind of figured that was the case. I need to build effigy before this cannibal beef gets out of hand.

Just a water source needed, nothing said about to gave him water. He go to a river or pond to drink something. Didn't figured out everything, but they need no food, just water. Think this regenerate their hitpoints too.
