how to remove gps

Hey guys im stuck with the gps in my left hand and its very annoying. How do you remove it?

Pressing the drop button usually also holsters things in your hands, including utility items, but not always.

Check the controls, since I customised mine and don't remember the vanilla keys. There are hotkeys to cycle utilities, bring out or put away your map, take out or put away your last equipped light source, drop or put away items in your hands, and so on.

happened to me too. gps didnt go away whatever i pressed. went sleep or saved. had to reload game

do you have the gps hotkeyed by chance? it doesn't unequip if it is hotkeyed for whatever reason. I was able to unequip by pressing m

I also had this issue, try pushing "m"

If you're stuck with it and nothing works, swimming for me would fix it. I get stuck in building mode or GPS and swimming resets it for me. Or a restart ofc...but I assume that's not an option since you will lose progress.

Figured out it's M on keyboard, toggle "Map"
