how to build a locked door or giant gate like in the first game

in the first game you can build a big gate or a locked door to keep the cannibals out. can you do that on this one because they keep getting in to my base

Good question, as of right now they seem to just let themselves in.

with the help of a zipline, you can get home, and completely enclose the base with walls. There is a crafting gate, but it never worked for me

It's bugged right now, I believe. I believe you can build a gate in your defensive wall, if you look at steps 5 and 6, you can place a log horizontally on 6 or 7 defensive walls. That's meant to be the gate, but it's bugged and doesn't work.

They just walk right into my base right now. And if not they break the door in 2 hits. It is pointless to even build a defensive wall with a gate.

hope they fix it soon then. not being able to defend yourself because your walls are useless is quite frustrating

Guys please notice that a normal definse wall is not that effective. You can make the wall even stronger by adding different types of logs to it. Play around with cutting logs and try to add them to the walls. The walls will get stronger :)
