Half logs?

Do half logs have any use? i have a ton of them just laying around my home.

You can cut 2/4 logs into 1/4 logs. Then cut 1/4 logs in half longways so that you can use them for firewood. You're gonna need a huge amount of firewood if you wanna pass winter season without having to go out and forage for more firewood.

I have to disagree on that one. A single set of 4 firewood lasted us pretty much the entire playthrough even through winter, only with snow occasionally putting out the fire so it had to be reignited but never burning up the actual firewood.

half logs can be used for supports. mainly useful for roofing, so you don't need a pillar grid in your house, but can also be used to extend flooring out where pillars can't be used, or to have pillars that are 1 and 1/2 tall, which can happen if you build on a hill/mountain.

Half log planks can be used to make shelving for storage, if you don't have enough of it already.
