Ghosting?

Never encountered this issue before. It's actually a friend having the trouble. From what he describes theres a sort of trail of after images. When he looks around he see's Kelvin a few times for a few seconds, side by side as a series of after images. it only lasts for a moment but its very disconcerting and obviously pretty unplayable.

Problem is its only in this game. All his other games work fine. Any help would be appreciated. Not even sure what to call the issue.

Yup. Having the same ghosting issue. Not as bad as your friend. It’s really bad for me with the animals.

i have a white box in my base and if i walk inside of it i get artifacts everywhere i look. its only on this safegame and only inside my base.

Ghosting is mostly caused by AI driven super resolutions. Things like DLSS and FSR and such.
Also make sure your graphic card control center app isn't forcing any super resolution. I've heard of gsync also causing ghosting too, so disable that if you're using it too.

This is a problem for me as well. Everything that moves have ghosting, the squirrel leave ghosting like the flash lol. So I decided to disable DLSS, and the problem was solved. I tried FSR, which also has ghosting but not too much to annoyed as DLSS.

DLSS + TAA have pretty significant ghosting, i suggest just turning them off if you dont get much of an FPS boost with them, I can run the game on Ultra 1440p 50-70 fps without TAA or DLSS

Ghosting happens because of a difference in your monitor's refresh rate and response rate.
Usually, at least.

Temporal algorithms such as TAA or DLSS can also cause it on a game-by-game basis. Try turning TAA off first, see if it fixes. If not, turn DLSS off too.

If it's still not fixed, it's very likely a monitor issue. Google your monitor + ghosting, see what comes up.
