How to make a standing stick pointy ?

I wanted to plant a head on a stick but I couldn't make the stick pointy the way it's shown in the notebook, without inclining the stick. I manage to do it with logs so I'd be surprise if it's not a bug, am I wrong though ? Is there a tricky way to make the cutlines appear ?

Don't have to make it pointy. Plant a stick and then equip the head and it will allow you to stick it on.

But they fall over easily, they behave like you still need to sharpen the stick. When i do it the head-sticks literally fall down when something touches them.

Add rocks at the bottom of the planted stick for reinforcement.
