i got very good pc please help
my specs:
ryzen 7 2700x 8core
rtx 2060 super
128gigs of ram
and 750 psu
One way you can tell if that's the case is if you watch your +12v voltages
if it's going down to even 11.6V your PSU is basically working at its limits
This did it for me atm, hopefully it keeps working right now
Just copy the settings that PBO or automatic overclock uses and input them in the BIOS as a place to start. Use OCCT to test stability and temperatures, lowering the CPU voltage small amounts at a time.
It's not quite so simple but that's the gist. Look up an overclocking guide on a forum for your CPU and motherboard.
I think that's something with the engine communicating with the GPU driver. I had my GPU clocks reduce to around 1000 Mhz from 2000 Mhz when opening my crafting pack in a cave, causing the FPS to drop to about 16 FPS. Pretty strange behaviour. That should only happen with 2D work loads
now i bought myself a new PSU yesterday (430w>850w) and i litterally havent had a crash yet.. tested it like 5 times and fully restarted the pc every time inbetween.
so you might wanna buy a new psu or see if you cant test it with someone else psu.
Seems it's either to weak or itS' about to die.
Ever heart about power peaks?
That's reason Nr 1 if your your PC chrashes without a warning ofter starting a game..
So tell me: If it was a pure game issue, everyone should have it right?
Why didn't I and many others experience a single chrash then so far?
And why did otheres here in this thread got their issue fixed after replacing their PSU then?
SoTF is not a weak game (regarding to your system). actually it's very demanding.
And regardless of the reasons why or the game's performance:
if your system can't handle the load it's got an issue.
The game just revealed it.
For example, do we load the intere map World Layer on log-in? This require's so much power it's immense. It loads shader, High Quality Graphics.
This also makes sense why some people crash when entering caves, because it loads the entire cave system with all it's details?
If it only loads in chunks it will be way more optimized for your CPU and very likely not cause it to withdraw that much CPU power usage, causing it to completly dry it out.
Therefore, this could be the reason why. if you compare with other games, that may had this optimization such as Hogwartz Legacy and such on. This of course means that our PC is may weaker than yours, but that's because you have a more powerfull CPU that can handle this power usage, but ours it's still within an "Optimized" limit range, if the game was handled a little bit better
