1. force the game to run in 32 bit
2. turn water graphics to low
3. turn of screen space reflections
Also the FPS are kinda low. Only around 65-72is on 4K ultra, with most of the extra graphic features turned off.
I'm using a
Ryzen 7 7700x
RX 7900 XTX
32gb DDR5 6000
ASRock B650M
with that fps at 4k ultra you're fine. Idk why people complain about this.
Ok, well, there is absolutely no OC on my GPU, or CPU, no XMP, no Asus multicore stuff, no undervolt or anything else. And MPO is diabled, still I crash when I enter water or are generally near water in the game.
I would not blame everything on unstable clocks.
The 7000 series are more sentitive to value changes and can crash after certain period of game time and throw tantrums.
Must be a old stable driver it used.
-current driver amd and windows 10
-amd overlay disabled
-anti-lag off
-enhanced sync off
- all graphics settings in the game on low ( on medium the game still crashed after 10 minutes) resolution 1440p
if it crashes again i will update the post
OS: Windows 10
CPU: 7950x
GPU: 7900 XTX AMD reference card with custom EK liquid block
PSU: 1500w 80+ Platinum
RAM: 2x32GB DDR5 @ 6000 mHz (AMD EXPO)
Custom liquid loop keeping all temps far away from throttling
OS Drive: 2 TB 980 PRO
Game Drive: 2 TB SN850X
MPO disabled, 23.2.2 drivers freshly installed after DDU, no overclocking whatsoever outside of AMD EXPO, all other drivers and firmware up to date. Game crashes 100% reliably within 3 minutes of loading a save file where I have a small 1x1 hut built next to a small stream. Crashes more rapidly when I enter and drink from the small stream.
Edit: disabled AMD EXPO and verified that the game crashes within seconds of drinking from the small stream near my base. With AMD EXPO disabled, my rig has no OC whatsoever but still crashes reliably.
Have been looking forward to this release for a long time... it's a shame that it's completely unplayable.
Fixed it for me too.
In my opinion its far from being "perfectly fine" or smooth at all.. when i compare it to other games, thats the worst performance i've seen so far. Even tho its EA, I expect better after all these years. But, thats again my opinion.
This.
Sapphire 7900xtx default settings with updated mobo and gpu drivers+ AMD SAM and Expo enabled.
Zero crashes on my end.
Damn this is exactly what happened to me too, and I have your exact setup... I was hosting and went to get a drink and, crashed. Also crashed when I went to engage a hostile.
I dont think i crashed ever in single player though. Over 12 hours, but within like 10 mins of hosting a game it was constant crashing. I also was on Ultra settings. I tried things like disabling XMP and over clocks but still crashed, so im not sure whats up.
