Edit: I realized as I typed that I saw an option for disabling structure damage. I suppose that works, but I would actually prefer having to defend my home and it not just act like a cheat safe spot. Just...you know...not explode when a mutant sneezes at it.
Building a wall is as simple as holding a log and placing them on top of or beside each other.
That's the way how to survive, we have to learn and study, and practice doing it. I need to google it too, same as other games.
