My best recommendation for fixing the game when this happens is to enable cheats and teleport to a safe location, then disabling cheats and saving your game. Here's how to do that in case you need it. Remember to type all commands without the quotes " "

Load your last saved game. Once in game, pause it. From the pause menu, type "cheatstick" as one word and press the enter/return key. Built in cheats are now enabled. It may bring up another menu, but you can press the escape key to close that.

There is no noclip/fly command, but we can teleport by using the "goto" command. Press the "F1" key to bring up the cheat menu. You can type "goto" and a coordinate/location. Here are some examples:

"Goto CaveAEntrance" (Rebreather cave)

"Goto CaveBEntrance" (Rope Gun cave)

"Goto CaveCEntrance" (shovel cave)

You can also use XYZ coordinates like "Goto 300 525 -300" (Frozen Lake in Center of map) or general squares like "Goto K9" . Use Google to find articles/maps if you want to teleport to a specific location.

Once above ground, you can also use cheats to get to the location you want to be at faster. Here are some helpful commands:

"godmode on" (so you don't die from fall damage).

"speedyrun on" to run back to your location faster (careful, it's very fast!)

"superjump 100" so you can easily jump high and overcome obstacles such as mountains. If you have the glider, hold it while jumping so you can fly back to your location.

Remember to disable all your cheats and save once you get back! Type the same cheat but put "off" instead ("Superjump off", "godmode off", etc...)
