*SPOILER* Don't leave Kelvin alone

I went into one of the caves closest to the crash site and left Kelvin outside to do some resorce gathering, but when I emerged from the cave (out of a different entrence) I found him dead close by.
I can't interact with him or his body in any way, is this ok?

Sadly he is most likely dead as he was killed by a cannibal ( you ussualy would make him go hide so he has less chances of getting murdered) Other than that god knows who could've done that
