How do you give a weapon to a follower?

I'm trying to give kelvin a spear By using give item but theres nothing on the backback that shows up when i do it

Hold the spear and click LMB in-front of him. He will take it.

Kelvin has severe head trauma(TBI). He lacks the dexterity and critical thinking to be viable in combat. He is lucky to be breathing. Alas he cannot wield the spear, or any other weapon.

If you did manage to give Kelvin a spear, he'd guard a doorway so you can't get through. Or kill you with it.

Kelvin can't fight, but if you give Virginia a gun (go up to her and hold E, then press Q or R to cycle the pad to show them) she'll have unlimited ammo and fantastic aim

Kelvin cannot fight. But Virginia can be given guns and has infinite ammo when given them.

In the first game (the forest) you could equip a turtle shell, it does no damage but had 100% block. I would sure like to give kelvin one so he could protect himself while trying to escape.

I think Kelvin should be able to handle explosive devices. I'm absolutely certain he'd be a big help in the game if he could randomly toss grenades and sticky bombs.

you maybe right, i'm sure our bases would be completely safe :)

Kelvin is a pacifist; he won't fight. Virginia will only use the 9mm and shotgun. Bonus, you plate the 9mm and shotgun with solafite before you give it to her (they will do extra damage).

I've never noticed any buff associated with a solafite-infused pistol or shotgun. It still takes a bucketload of ammo to put anything down.

I've seen this tested on utube and the damage is unchanged. it was farket that did the testing.
