Bow n Arrow

How do you use a bow and arrow? I made a bow, 3D printed some arrows but I can't use them. My character just pulls back the string on an empty bow

I think the crafted bow might only work with crafted stone arrows. Two sticks, two feathers and 4 small rocks makes a bunch of stone arrows.

Getting feathers is easy at the coast, just spear a seagull and you can collect quite a lot of feathers by poking the corpse a couple of times

works fine with stone stick feather arrows for me , i havent even come close to finding a 3d printer jeez i must be way off the pace

For the primitive bow and arrow, sticks and rope, which can be found by exploring. The stone arrows the only hard one to get is feathers, but I just found the trick for those is to throw a small stone at the birds and four feathers will fly off of them. Think that gives you four arrows per hit.

you can actually use any arrows with the crafted bow. i found a place in a nearby cave with a 3d printer and i can use the carbon arrows i picked up, and the 3d printed ones as well

For feathers craft a bird house, it’s in the secondary mode of the crafting book (press X while you have your crafting book up ) . The bird house will attract birds like crazy I got 5-10 feathers after just doing other stuff for 20 mins haha

No, you can use other arrows with the crafted bow. You just look down and you will get a prompt telling you to press R to cycle between arrow types. You can do this with the shotgun as well, to swap between slugs and buckshot.

Or you can just kill a few sea gulls on the beach. When you first kill them a bunch of feather come off of them. Then you can smack them a few more times to make even more feathers come off of them. After just a handful of gulls you will have more feathers than you know what to do with.
