Can’t open inventory

I entered a cave and now the inventory button doesn’t work

Same thing happened to me, was playing with friends and picked up the rebreather and got a thing that made me unable to open my inventory.

My friend had this happen and he told me to kill him and pick him back up and that worked for us.

This is a common bug, seems to be toggled by equipping things in your hand too fast, had this happen from fishing, eating berries and accidentally grabbing sticks, and a few other annoying ways. Seems like the only way to fix it is to get downed and picked back up, or if your in single player, reload the save, but its difficult to do so if you haven't gotten a camp set up yet. EDIT: If your able, try to get your inventory full of sticks, pick an extra stick up, and then eat a berry. Odd solution, but it fixes the problem.

what worked for me and my friend is the following:
go to your save files ex. ```%APP_DATA%\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves\76561199095198784\Multiplayer\``` and replace the ```PlayerInventorySaveData.json``` (for the bugged one) with a working one form your friend.
