Also I am glad there are still prefabs for people who can't be bothered building manually.
I love the new building style, myself.
Ik Ik.. I actually like the idea of the system. Just venting cus it felt like I wasted so much time under stress because the details of the system weren't properly communicated. If they introduce a proper tutorial at the start for building (just pop-ups would be fine) then I wouldn't have anything to complain about.
I feel like these things should be expected, it's day 1 of early access, do not expect a polished and user friendly experience. If people can't handle janky controls and the odd bug they should not be buying early access games, not saying that's you but just a general thing.
Just wish there was a better place to share feedback rather than these steam forums
Maybe i'm one of the few, but I like that they haven't done that. They're giving you vague instructions that are somewhat clear, yet still require you to use your own brain to make it work. The way it plays out for me is like ''ohh so that's how it works'' as I try new things. I like doing this, personally. But I get if it's not for you, though. Hence why they still have the old building system in place too.
That is the floor. You have to cut down more logs, split them in half and place the half logs until that square is filled.
Not sure your aware.
Its easier to play with friends.
For some reason after you cut out a window while building a wall, you can't place a log above the window because it wont snap. So you must build a wall 5 high FIRST, and THEN cut the 2 logs to make the window.
(Also I've found no use for the tiny logs yet, or the tiny half cut logs either)
ALSO cannibals can climb through your open windows, as I've learned via having a straight up heart attack.
this is the approach im currently taking until i can get my head around it all lolz
you can put the small ones into stone fire as firewood, not sure what purpose it has yet. im trying to figure if you can fill windows in
