Starting locations

Hey so ive been starting in the mountains but on youtube ive noticed alot of people starting on the beach, is there any way to get the beach start?

waiting before holding E on the laptop in the helicopter will put you in different areas depending where the helicopter is

first game had me on the ice mountain, started a new game, then it waas on the beach

Ive noticed it changes, Im checking to see if its dependent on how fast or slow you go thought the laptop files and maybe where ther helicopter is but i only landed in the forest once and the beach 3 times so i need to try more attempts. Beach seems to be the fastest to the e key though

The first time i started on the snow mountain too. On the second gameplay, i skiped all the cutscenes and started somewhere inside the forest, near a littler waterfall and a cave.

Same for me. Tried different things, after 10 times restarting, still spawned in the snow.

start on mountain, jump and suicide , then you will be in forest / beach

must be random. First time mountain, the second I skipped all the cutscenes and also got the mountain, the third time was the beach. The beach is much easier and I haven't died again.

Tried like 20 times, always in the snow ... tried to skip as fast as possible, tried to wait several minutes to press E, tried in normal, hard, custom ... Snow snow snow snow and snow

Some people are saying to full quit out of the game between attempting a new start if you keep getting the same one.

Fix : delete/move or rename files located here. Got on beach on first try after I did.

Seems to be random. Keep getting forest. When the helicopter starts spinning, you can see the view changing in between the three biomes. Then it changes to the one you start on.

First play, watched the entire cutscene: beach

Turned PC off

Second play, hit s immediately: forest
Restarted: forest

Third play, hit s immediately: snow
restart: snow

There are three starting locations. If you don't get the one you want, keep trying, you'll get it eventually.

If you crash to the mountains there couple nice loot spots nearby though. Are all "greater" loot items in same spots every run ?

I started the game couple od times and I'm not 100% sure but starting location may be connected to the difficulty as for now on the normal I always started in the forest, on hard in the mountains, on custom at the beach. In each game I immediately skipped the intro.
