Use C key to dismantle the door from the outside. Once inside you can rebuilt the door. The door seems to only open from the inside going out. To go back you have to dismantle every time.

Jump into the door, you should be able to enter without having to deconstruct it each time.

Um, i just walked (sometimes I had to jump) at the door and it swung open from either inside or outside.

Quite the snarky remark considering in the prior game any shelter allowed you to save/sleep. In addition you can sleep just fine in mud with this game as long as you have a tarp above you supported by some sticks, so why wouldn't the player feel robbed to not be able to do so in a cabin with hardwood floors? It's gotta be better than the mud, or this tarp is somehow magic.

Actually I solved the door problem but building a single stair in front of the door. I think it’s made of a plank or something. It’s in the guide book. Now I walk freely in and out of my cabin and the door swings correctly. Actually I think the whole issue might be about collision objects which is exactly why they allow building a single step.
My question is what is the mechanic of a cabin in the first place? With a saving bed inside, how is it better than a tent?
