Bruh. This is the suggestion thread. I'm putting this up here as feedback for the devs. "Complaining" is the entire point of being here.
Well, I haven't taken part of that discourse, this is my own feedback. Getting told "I play on hard mode and I have no trouble, get good scrub lol" is just kind of a braindead reply to wanting a third option to the enemies spawning rule in custom difficulty.
a blueprint function can be very helpful (not to poor Kevin though).
Additional Items
- Metal detector - would work well with the shovel
- Snow shoes, fur boots and warmsuit comeback
- Hunting rifle with an attachable scope
- Semi-automatic rifle for the endgame

- Torch rework
- Wolfs spikes trap | Use shovel and sharpened sticks for the custom building
- Raft, a a kayak or a small boat we could use to travel across the big lake
- Fishing rod? Fishing minigame?

- Compass in gps or as a standalone item
- Climbing axe from the first game should make a return! it was awesome and fun!
- Medieval sword as a rival weapon for the katana?

Gameplay or Balance changes
- Deeper and larger Rivers, that would allow the player to traverse them in a boat/kayak
- Crafting stations would add more sense in building a base
- Placement of attachment on the guns is annoying and uncomfortable to use - laser sight
- Using equipment should not stop time as it does now! Its too OP + Its possible to heal on the " Pause time "
- Realism mode / super hard / no hud or minimum hud
- Shotgun nerf
- Doors that we can lock
- Radio transportation
- Animal tracking ( Signs, blood trails )
- There is too much food and water. It destroys the survival aspect of the game.
- Water Rebreather shouldn't be auto-equippped + it should make the movement slower on land
- Water should be boiled before drinking it
- The GPS is op with all the points of interests. A paper map or a malfunctioning GPS would make it more interesting ( Perhaps a gps with the map and the paper map of all the points of interest? )
- Improved player physics ( Walking up the 80 degree walls is possible as for now )
- A journal that would let the player review documents and clues
NPC changes
- Ability to thank Kelvin for his help
- Collectible flowers for Virginia
- Kevin should be able to defend himself
- Creepy armour is too cheap and op. It shouldn't be harvestable from every single mutant, especially the more common ones
- NPC should eat, be healed
- AI pathing fixes
- Kevin should be able to use a log sled if such will be added to the game
- Virginia is often found wondering around the player. There should be a posibility to make her stay
New content ideas
- Bodycam view / filter
- Underwater content | Perhaps a maintanence bunker accesable only with the diving tank
- Different scripted events every couple of days?
- Timmys Toy return
- More caves!
- Tribal cannibals with ranged weaponry!

Details
- On an escape attempt from the island a player should reveal a tattoo and turn back, similiar idea to a photo of Timmy in the first game

Nvidia needs to update and support the game in order to use the G Experience game filter.
In the good ending of the first game Eric takes Timmy to a late night talk show a year after escaping the island and resurrecting Timmy. This was an actual lengthy cut scene sequence with a good bit of dialogue explaining so much about the story so briefly especially the cut scene before and after it. All these cut scenes were so original and bizarre If sons of the forest could inspiration from their first game but add more a lot more cut scenes and dialogue as well as a clear beginning, middle and end to a great story that would be fantastic. Also the final boss cutscene from the first game was terrifying yet so cool. They gotta implement something similar into silver jacket perhaps he can mutate and become the final boss? Also we need a lot more cut scenes including him and more dialogue/backstory/character depth and lore… same with Virginia Puffton. Also Timmy and his weird mutant disease or whatever you want to call it should be more apparent (his seizures) more direct dialogue and cutscenes to connect the dots to why even Timmy and Eric are back in the first place and what they did after the forest. Story overall needs a lot more content and a little bit in game explanation both through lore but hopefully mostly through lots of cut scenes and dialogue with the skip option. Though i enjoy the story of games and don’t mind sitting through mind blowing cut scenes which sons of the forest definitely needs. As well as scripted events and scripted horror in certain parts of the map to add intentional scares and perhaps jump scares. Involve reasoning for certain characters to be on the island… like Kelvin and fisheye. Involve the soldiers more in the game and story. Involve the main character in the story
