Peaceful means no cannibals at all (including in caves), which removes the point of half of the items in the game. I want to be able to go raid a cave and have that include some level of risk, without being harassed non-stop when I'm just chilling and building my base.

They will deal with it and add a easy difficulty eventually u just gotta wait lil bro or get the shot gun and set up better defences in the mean time. Im on hard and I’m not having many issues

I do agree that more ammo should be found around the map and cannibal raids should not be as constant but everyone knows and is already saying that also that’s kind of the point of the game though, it was literally the same with the last game but you would have John and the cowman attacking you

revolver sounds like peashooter. I want the sound from The Long Dark of firing rifle. nothing more satisfying than firing that rifle.

I didn't really understand the story either! Why are the rich doing time off in the resort, here you should build in a really horrible discovery, for example. that you pay so much to be allowed to torment the cannibals trapped in the bunkers like in the movie "Hostel" Also, the story should be shown in good video sequences and not in the form of paper snippets. What relation do the researchers have to the vacationers?

Ich habe die Story auch nicht wirklich nachvollziehen können! Wieso machen denn die Reichen da Uhrlaub in dem Resort, hier sollte man einen wirklich grausige Entdeckung einbauen so zB. das Sie so viel Bezahlen um in den Bunkern gefangene Eingeboren quälen zu dürfen So wie in dem Film "Hostel" Außerdem sollte die Story in guten Videosequenzen gezeigt werden und nicht in form von Papier schnipseln. Welchen Bezug haben Die Forscher denn zu den Urlaubern ??

Na ja das Spiel hat trotzdem Spaß gemacht!

Make late story area much more harder. That was so easy to accomplish. Add more monsters, make passageways bit more narrow to force the combat because you can literally run past.
Story can be completed so fast…

Well, I haven't taken part of that discourse, this is my own feedback. Getting told "I play on hard mode and I have no trouble, get good scrub lol" is just kind of a braindead reply to wanting a third option to the enemies spawning rule in custom difficulty.

We are all playing the same game and I agree with you but also just letting you know that this game is challenging in some ways and not challenging enough in others. That's why I'm suggesting there should be easy, nightmare and realism difficulties as well as more custom difficulty options. More ammo should be found around the map (certain ammo) and less cannibal raids or a different kind of raid system. The game is supposed to be challenging though and there should be an easy mode for this reason also because who even plays peaceful? Its just that this game is a survival/horror game and its supposed to be challenging and not some ark or camping sim. Currently the game is too easy to complete and they should focus on making it more difficult and not easier... that is just my opinion. once you get the shotgun and the pistol you shouldn't even have a problem with raiding cannibals though it is annoying and the system should change i agree but they shouldn't cut out the best parts of the game for certain people. I don't encourage that

End night needs a easy difficulty for certain people... as well as a nightmare and realism difficulty
more traps please, bone cage, pitfall (since there's already a shovel), rope trap, arrow trap……and setting up perimeter walls and spikes is pretty repetitive and time-consuming,
a blueprint function can be very helpful (not to poor Kevin though).
List of the most common ideas mixed with some of original ones. Sorry if I post too much. I'm trying to update and make the list more interesting and easier for people and developers to read and to view

Additional Items

- Metal detector - would work well with the shovel
- Snow shoes, fur boots and warmsuit comeback
- Hunting rifle with an attachable scope
- Semi-automatic rifle for the endgame
- Binoculars
- Torch rework
- Wolfs spikes trap | Use shovel and sharpened sticks for the custom building
- Raft, a a kayak or a small boat we could use to travel across the big lake
- Fishing rod? Fishing minigame?
- Log sledge
- More gun attachments like sights, magazines or grips
- Defensive wall gates
- Compass in gps or as a standalone item
- Climbing axe from the first game should make a return! it was awesome and fun!
- Medieval sword as a rival weapon for the katana?
- Pouches for rocks, sticks
- Quiver for arrows both craftable and military grade findable item

Gameplay or Balance changes

- Deeper and larger Rivers, that would allow the player to traverse them in a boat/kayak
- Crafting stations would add more sense in building a base
- Placement of attachment on the guns is annoying and uncomfortable to use - laser sight
- Using equipment should not stop time as it does now! Its too OP + Its possible to heal on the " Pause time "
- Realism mode / super hard / no hud or minimum hud
- Shotgun nerf
- Doors that we can lock
- Radio transportation
- Animal tracking ( Signs, blood trails )
- There is too much food and water. It destroys the survival aspect of the game.
- Water Rebreather shouldn't be auto-equippped + it should make the movement slower on land
- Water should be boiled before drinking it
- The GPS is op with all the points of interests. A paper map or a malfunctioning GPS would make it more interesting ( Perhaps a gps with the map and the paper map of all the points of interest? )
- Improved player physics ( Walking up the 80 degree walls is possible as for now )
- A journal that would let the player review documents and clues

NPC changes

- Ability to thank Kelvin for his help
- Collectible flowers for Virginia
- Kevin should be able to defend himself
- Creepy armour is too cheap and op. It shouldn't be harvestable from every single mutant, especially the more common ones
- NPC should eat, be healed
- AI pathing fixes
- Kevin should be able to use a log sled if such will be added to the game
- Virginia is often found wondering around the player. There should be a posibility to make her stay

New content ideas

- Bodycam view / filter
- Underwater content | Perhaps a maintanence bunker accesable only with the diving tank
- Different scripted events every couple of days?
- Timmys Toy return
- More caves!
- Tribal cannibals with ranged weaponry!
- More objects of decoration and arrangement
- More Furniture
- More effieges

Details

- On an escape attempt from the island a player should reveal a tattoo and turn back, similiar idea to a photo of Timmy in the first game
- Porting single player games to MP
- Different Icon, one more resembling the original one
- Detailed changelogs with evey update
- PLEASE do not release the full story until the game is finished.
- Active and nonactive HUD - visible during changes etc

I'm not sure if this is a developer thing or an Nvidia thing but you guys should consider adding support for Nvidia overlay game filters to be used, thank you!!!!

Nvidia needs to update and support the game in order to use the G Experience game filter.
when im making floor i cant build floor right next to it but i have to go further make floor then cut log in half and place it i want to be able to build floor next floor it always shows me to put log on ground and build foundation with it
Im sure someone mentioned not being able to consistently sharpen logs. Just another letter in case you miss it.
- Minor spoilers for the first game
In the good ending of the first game Eric takes Timmy to a late night talk show a year after escaping the island and resurrecting Timmy. This was an actual lengthy cut scene sequence with a good bit of dialogue explaining so much about the story so briefly especially the cut scene before and after it. All these cut scenes were so original and bizarre If sons of the forest could inspiration from their first game but add more a lot more cut scenes and dialogue as well as a clear beginning, middle and end to a great story that would be fantastic. Also the final boss cutscene from the first game was terrifying yet so cool. They gotta implement something similar into silver jacket perhaps he can mutate and become the final boss? Also we need a lot more cut scenes including him and more dialogue/backstory/character depth and lore… same with Virginia Puffton. Also Timmy and his weird mutant disease or whatever you want to call it should be more apparent (his seizures) more direct dialogue and cutscenes to connect the dots to why even Timmy and Eric are back in the first place and what they did after the forest. Story overall needs a lot more content and a little bit in game explanation both through lore but hopefully mostly through lots of cut scenes and dialogue with the skip option. Though i enjoy the story of games and don’t mind sitting through mind blowing cut scenes which sons of the forest definitely needs. As well as scripted events and scripted horror in certain parts of the map to add intentional scares and perhaps jump scares. Involve reasoning for certain characters to be on the island… like Kelvin and fisheye. Involve the soldiers more in the game and story. Involve the main character in the story

If you have a log and you try to build any of the prefab furniture that requiers for example a half log so anything that isn't what you have in hand it won't take away the log that you have and it will count towards the prefabs progress
