Apparently an early access virgin.
Many games are in early access for several years, and several of those games have been a phenomenal success.
This one was supposed to be in early access for approximately 8 months. It hasn't been that long yet.
And to directly answer your question :
Maybe.
1) Currently it feels like throwing small stones and building stones is further then the crafted bow's arrows. Now I know their damage's are leagues apart but I am wondering if this is a mistake or an intended mechanic to highlight the differences between stone arrows and carbon fiber arrows.
2) Foliage is a real problem in the game. I can be in hot pursuit of an enemy or even a moose a BOOM! out of no where the NPC is just gone. It is almost like it just warps away from me. Not even the footsteps of the moose can be heard anymore.
3) Builds off of the previous one but foliage has been taking hits for the cannibals but not offering players the same amount of protection. I don't mean the enemies that cover themselves in bushes either. I mean just the regular ones that the over map spawns.
4) Could you consider making it possible to eat multiple berries from the inventory at 1 time. The eat animation for them is really well done and I do enjoy seeing the character's animation, but eating 5 berries individually just to get a noticeable benefit does kind of suck. So could an option be added to say eat 5 at a time be done? Berries of course wouldn't restore health this way but would deal with hunger and thirst in a more manageable and rewarding manor.
5) Could use more duct tape drops too. Early game it feels like I dont have enough.
Otherwise, so far my approximately 10 hour journey into the game has been absolutely amazing. The graphics are superb. I am a little confused why Timmy returned to the island, but, I am sure that will be cleared up. The changes to the building interface have been amazing. The cannibals feel similar but different. You can also tell they are a lot wiser from Eric's journey to the island. I very much have enjoyed the early access and am glad I purchased the game. My friend who plays the game with me and I, can't stop talking about it.
- Armor crafting table
A place that you load armor pieces in and craft full set with out having to do it one by one
Should be able to add all the leaves and cloth for one set, all bones and rope, deer skin and cloth, and come back to a full set (Maybe make it a Kelvin feature)
- Pouch for other items on Zipline
Craft a pouch out of cloth and rope to send other things on Zipline, like stones, sticks, body's, food etc
- add dyes to paint walls are stain wood, could be like a berries mix that creates it
- Give a command to drink the whole pot of food you made
- Double doors for rock structure, double doors for wood structures
- Make fire place take fire wood only
It would give more use to the firewood and it would look different than the campfire
(When placeing food on fireplace the food goes to the back and you can't see when it's done )
- More footstep sound effects to know when people are walking up like Kelvin, Virginia, cannibals, and deer.
- More growling and snarling from mutants
- increase stone carry inventory by 1
Help us save some time
- Increase bone inventory by 1
When crafting armor you're one short every time when you have full bones
- make strength matter more, the stronger you are the more wood you can carry .. like 4 logs and 5 rocks with high strength
I don't know what this is about. But they worked on this Game for 5 or so years already. It got delayed twice.
So "it wasn’t fully released so can’t say they worked on it before bud" is not true.
9 - 2 = 7
1. It would be great if when you put food on the fire to cook, it started placing them on the front of the fire, not the back. As is, it can be tricky to tell when food is done in certain lighting.
2. I would absolutely love it if only the area in front of the fireplace counted as next to the fire. Kelvin keeps choosing to sit outside or in another room instead of actually in front of the fire. While it's not the worst thing in the world, it certainly is frustrating.
Another 6 - 12 months at least for full release would be good but I wouldn’t mind it being even longer. This game has potential to be a mid game or an amazing game depending on how long it stays in ea.
Anyways I just hope this games ratio between building and horror becomes even before they release it then I’ll be happy
There’s not even a reason to base build besides for fun and they keep on adding more things to the building mechanics.
The horror to building ratio in this game is totally unfair, it’s like this game is more of a building simulator rather then a survival horror game. The ratio should be even and then I’ll be happy.
Like I said there’s plenty of ways to add to the horror like adding some type of underwater mutant that inhabits submerged caves/poi’s. Maybe something like a creepy mermaid, there could be animations of them swimming by us really quickly while we’re exploring underwater caves and poi’s
A separate tribe of creepier cannibals that get along with mutants and inhabit poi’s/caves. Said creepier cannibals could not get along with current cannibals and could cannibalize them. They could even have disfigurements like missing eyelids or even mutations. Night raids with these mutants and cannibals would be great.
Even more of a night threat like certain enemies that are limited to night time that drop important items and materials when you kill them. Especially some type of nocturnal monster that’s limited to night and when you kill it, it drops an important item or material. I would love an area like a cave/poi where it’s entrance only opens up at nighttime.
They could totally add the intro and giant handed monster in the reveal trailer. We could be tasked with running away from the said monster in the beginning of the game, helicopter cutscene could be scarier, with it knocking us out waking up in the night to the monster and having to run away from it. Kelvin/Virginia could be found later on in a cave, poi, cannibals camp or a bunker, specifically Kelvin. Virginia could bump into us like 3 in game weeks into the game.
They could add creepy animations like what Matthew cross had in the first game when he would stalk us on the yacht. Creepy cutscenes and maybe even a few jump scares like the sluggy in the shovel cave. Some death cutscenes and animations of people dying to mutants and cannibals would be great as well.
Maybe the cube could affect creatures like sharks, fish, spiders, bats and worms/ticks or something. Even hybrids between mutant creatures and humans would crazy.
Finally a hostile mutant with the intelligence of Virginia or even smarter.
They don’t have to do all of this but at least a few or just their own ways of improving horror would be great.
They could rework the story to make it more scary too.
