Workshop mods
I hope they allow for workshop community mods to increase playability. The first forest was brilliant but after completing the story several times it got boring.

Most mod authors don't use steam workshop, they use nexusmods.

they said that they were working on adding workshop support a while ago but have not addressed it since im really hoping that they do add a workshop for the players who like a modded experience

there are still a lot of people who upload through workshop, nexus is mainly used for games that dont have a workshop counterpart for example games like skyrim or fallout 4 that have an in game mod menu but are featured on nexus but games like teardown or garrys mod do not because they have the workshop

That’s true mate. But however it would be delivered, it would be nice for continued re-playability. Atleast if the game content flops the community can keep it going just as we have done with previous titles like Arma 3, Rimworld as 2 examples. If it wasn’t for the modding community these games would have burnt out long ago. But none the less I hope SoTF release with plenty of enjoyment and content to keep us entertained for a long time. Pretty hyped to be fair though.

What's your point? I didn't say no mod authors use steam workshop, I said most of them don't.

Tteardown and Garry's Mod aren't on nexusmods? You sure about that?

You have to be a besserwisser?

You didn't need to say that mod authors use nexus, also workshop support is way easier for people that are new to modding games.

Game is really mod unfriendly. Especially for people "new to modding".

They use IL2CPP instead of mono. With the latter modders can easily get a good look at how the game works.

I asked a couple of The Forest modders and most of them agree that they wont touch this game till they change to mono.

Edit: There will be mods of course. But don't expect their scope to be big. Simple cheat mods and stuff. Maybe changing some textures for nude mods. That's probably it.

That’s not even what OP was talking about
Have we gotten any updates regarding this feature?
