The previous game did allow for player damage in the server options. There's an 8 player limit currently. So technically you could host the server, turn on player damage if this one has the same options, and there you go Bob's your uncle.
No duh.
And I'll respond to that the same way I did back then. Don't play with randoms in a game like this. Setup a server for your friends. If your friends are those types of people, well, that's an issue the game can't really solve.
This isnt a survival sandbox its a story with progression and an ending. You can play it as a survival game and not complete it but thats not how its designed first and foremost.
