Issues with using VoiceVolume to trigger mouth open.
I have an extremely simple avatar. It does not have special mouth shapes. So all I want is for the mouth to open according to voice volume. Which worked fine before. I took a break for a while and now it is not working. The mouth will only BARELY open. I am talking only a few pixels of open mouth. In order to make my avatar open its mouth in any truly visible fashion I have to pretty much yell directly into the microphone.

When I listen to my microphone using the program, it sounds perfectly fine.

I tried googling a solution but all I get are results dealing with facetracking or special mouth shapes.

I literally just want the mouth to open according to how loud the sound is without having to yell at it.

Suggestions?

You can raise the Volume Gain on the mic-settings, if it's not at 100 already, but beyond that, the rigging needs to be changed

In the Rigging-Settings go down to Mouth Open (or whereever you use VoiceVolumePlusMouthOpen as Input) you'll see the input on the left side. Talk normally and see, how high the input dot went's up.

If you want it to trigger earlier, then reduce the upper input value, so that the output reaches the upper value earlier, even when being less loud yourself.

If you don't want it to trigger for example due to background noise, then you can raise the lower limit a littlebit.
