VTube Studio

V Tube studio is taking up around 3.3 gigs of memory
Never had this issue before. I tried resetting it, and I haven't made any changes on it for months.

Have you downloaded any updates?

I personally found it extremely resource hungry so I uninstalled it.

I have it on auto update so I am assuming yes.

That's very strange. It shouldn't use anywhere near that much memory. Even with a big model loaded and a bunch of items, it should be somewhere around ~500 MB.

Is this without any models loaded? Is it at 3.3 GB memory usage right from the start or does it increase over time? Also, are you on Windows or macOS?

This is with a model loaded, correct? How many textures does the model have and how big (resolution) are they?

Yes with it loaded. I asked my model mom but she did say that my model was poorly optimized. The resolution is rather large. She told me she will fix it when she get's the time. But I still din't have this issue before, but part of it is for sure my model.

Model mom finally got an answer for me "number of arts: 350, image resolution for the psd is 8800 x 12800"

I mean specifically the exported model textures. They're in a folder inside of your model folder.

Example: https://i.imgur.com/5qKZsEm.png

The "akari.4096" folder contains the model textures of the Akari model with resolution 4096x4096. What's the resolution for your model and how many textures are in your model's texture folder?

Hmm. That doesn't seem too bad. What size is the .moc3 file of the model? I'll have to look into this.

That sounds normal. What if you load any of the other default models?
