VTube Studio Models Folder Not Updating When You Add or Remove Models
I've been trying to get this to update but to now avail. The Live2DModels folder isn't updating when I move a new file in. It eventually did at some point but I don't know what triggered VTube Studio to see that the folder had different and/or new files in it.

How do i fix it so that it will refresh like its supposed to?
I installed VTube Studio through Steam so it runs through that but that shouldn't effect it right?

Not sure what to do I couldnt find any videos on this issue on the internet either. I literally wont update inside of VTube studio if I wanted to add or delete model files from it.

The only way I got it to work was to overwrite a model file name that was already in the folder and then VTube Studio would recognize whatever changes.

It's updated a few times with a major time delay but I have no idea when it will update or if it was some random thing I did that updated it at some point.

That shouldn't happen. As long as the model files are valid, VTube Studio should find them.

If you want to add a new Live2D model that hasn't been set up in VTube Studio before, just export it ("export for runtime") from Live2D Cubism and put it in a new folder inside the "Live2DModels" folder. VTube Studio will find it and automatically create the ".vtube.json" file for it that contains all the model config.

If it's a model that has already been set up, do the same. VTube Studio will find the existing ".vtube.json" file.

If the issue persists, I'll have to see your app logs (in the "Logs" folder next to the "Live2DModels" folder). If possible, please post them in the VTube Studio Discord:

Well I figured out the issue. It was because it didnt have its own folder and VTube Studio couldn't "see" it without it being in its own folder. Very simple yet functionality breaking thing. Thanks for the help though
