VTube Studio

VTube Studio

question about IR cam (windows hello face recognition)
1. is VTube Studio supports full functions of Intel RealSense Devices?

2. how about xbox kinect?

3. or.. normal webcam with built-in IR sensor type webcams? (compatible with windows hello face recogntion)

3-1 example; https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003834990967.html

4. all of above versus iphone(face ID) in VTube Studio, which is better choice?

Have a good day, stay safe!

VTube Studio does not support those devices, and all of those three are still inferior to an iPhone. Also they are pretty much obsolete tech, for around same price you can get an used/refurbished iPhone. Not saying iPhone is great device all around, but that's just the reality of it on the face tracking capability.

I'm amazed no one has even made a plug-in/external program for Windows Hello facial recognition, but I definitely don't see any.

I believe Windows Hello devices are developed for "face recognition" (logging in to your PC, identifying person, etc) not "face tracking" (translating face movements to coordinates). Hence why there's no development on that front

Intells RealSense Depth Cameras like the D456 are definitely on par with faceid for facial tracking actually. They both have the same failure rates. The only difference is compatibility, but this is a software development issue not a facial tracking issue. RealSense has an API that can be used so that's a dev choice, not a flaw in their camera.

I will agree that currently this makes iPhones (10 and later) and other Apple devices with faceid the best option for now
