I'd consider it good model design to clearly distinguish between normal parameters and physics output parameters, but I also get that there are a few situations where that might not be optimal. Making this configurable per parameter is something that may eventually be possible since it does get requested from time to time, but don't expect this soon.
For now, there are a few workarounds, but the easiest solution would be to just add an additional parameter to your model that is not controlled by physics.
