Physics in keybind animations
Hi everyone, I have created a custom Live2D Cubism 4 model character for streaming and imported it into VTube Studio and done all of the set up as normal.

The character has parts that are moved by physics during normal face tracking, but in the key bind animations, these same parts have been animated to move independently of the physics.

The issue I have is, when I play a key bind animation in VTube Studio, these parts are still affected by the physics, so the animations I have made for them are not seen.

Is there a way, either in VTube Studio or in Live2D Cubism 4, to turn the physics off only for when the key bind animations are playing, and have the physics on the rest of the time?

My operating system is Windows 10, if that helps.

In VTube Studio, physics are always calculated last and overwrite everything else. You can't control parameters that have been used as "physics output parameters" in your Live2D model manually with face tracking, expressions or animations.

For more info, see chapter 9 of the documentation ("Interaction between Animations, Expressions, Face Tracking, Physics, etc.")

I'd consider it good model design to clearly distinguish between normal parameters and physics output parameters, but I also get that there are a few situations where that might not be optimal. Making this configurable per parameter is something that may eventually be possible since it does get requested from time to time, but don't expect this soon.

For now, there are a few workarounds, but the easiest solution would be to just add an additional parameter to your model that is not controlled by physics.

If you need any more clarification, please ask in the VTube Studio Discord: https://discord.gg/vtubestudio

I see! Thank you so much for your response, this has been really helpful.
