installing 226final patch

hi everyone, when i try to install the patch, it ask me to specify the path for the installation, wll, after i do this, tha patch ask me to insert the unreal gold cd-rom, wich i dont have beacause i bought it via steam. what should i do??

You do NOT Want to install the 226f patch. Due to a long list of technical reasons that I will not explain here. You will either want to stick with 226b (Which the steam version comes with) or install 227i from oldunreal.com. (btw the link that Labyrinth gave you is for the 227 patches, not 226f) 227 shouldnt even ask you for the cd, but should ask you for your install directory, which should be pointed towards your steamapps/common/Unrealgold folder (if using steam version)

btw 226f was meant for the original non-gold Unreal versions and not Gold or 226b itself. You will most likely mess up your game by installing 226f
