Installing a specific patch fixed it for me but I discovered that this bug happens because I have the game in french and some files are missing in the Steam version of the game.
The patch I downloaded is available on a website called dxm(dot)be, but it's only for installing French files. It played the French version of the audiolog, so I guess that the fact that some localized files are missing ♥♥♥♥♥ with the game in some way
That's a sad reoccuring things with Unreal games unfortunately. They were pretty well localized, but only English is available on Steam and it brings lots of issues that can be pretty hard to fix because they mostly go unnoticed.
Anyway, if you get the same problem, either play in full english or find a patch for your language
While it is not the latest release, more of a beta version (though works pretty well tbh), does the latest version of 227K fix your issue? Am asking for 2 reasons -
1) 227k revamps the localization system and i know Neon Knight and others did alot to fix up some of these botched localizations. It could be the solution to your issue hopefully.
2) if 227k doesn't fix it, i'll report the issue on OldUnreal discord/github. Game breaking issues are treated with bigger priority.

This should be the correct repo. Fingers crossed, just let me or the rest of OU know if it's still an issue.
