Unreal Gold

G-Sync not working?
For some reason G-Sync doesnt work whatsoever. The game also seems to have Vsync enforced at all times unless forced off in the Nvidia Driver but even then G-Sync doesnt work. I also edited the ini to 144hz but still no dice. I am not even sure if this game runs in True Fullscreen, doesn't seem so but even in windowed G-Sync should work for me.

Any idea?

EDIT: Hm. Seems like it works with the OpenGL driver but not the D3D9. Oh well. Fixed I guess.

EDIT2:
Lol. For that the brightness slider doesnt work and everything is too dark in OpenGL.

EDIT3:
Wow... The DX11 Renderer has way worse performance and doesnt even support proper driver SSAA. Gsync also doesnt work.

Isnt there any renderer where everything works? Damn... Might just stick with DX9 but use Vsync. Shame for the input but oh well... Are there any other renderers someone could try?

EDIT4:
Ok, I tried nGlide, which ran horrible and didnt seem to support my 21:9 screen. After this I tried the DX10 renderer, which however doesnt work with 227. Therefore I downgraded to the original 226 version. Now everything seems to actually run better than with 227. Looks and runs great and brightness and all is perfect. Gsync still doesnt work but I decided to just settle with Driver Vsync. I also disabled Alpha To Coverage since it causes seams in the skyboxes. I also adjusted Galaxy Audio settings to 32 channels, 48khz, latency 80, enabled 3D Hardware and Surround, disabled filter and ultimately added Creative Alchemy EAX restorer. Sounds and runs beautiful now.

Shame the game still needs so much tinkering but really happy with the result now. I think the Old Unreal devs should release 227j since that i version uses many old renderers that dont even seem to work on Windows 10 anymore.

There should also be a fix for the HUD size. Seems really small on my screen.

Bumping this thread because I discovered how to get Gsync working. Open Nvidia Control Panel, go to the Gsync settings and set it to "enable for windowed and fullscreen mode". Now the green Gsync indicator shows up.
