Why the ♥♥♥♥ does this game not save progress?

I have to start all over every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time!! F6/F7 works like crap!

You have to save the game manually through the game menu (I think that is Game/Save). And no, this game, like other ones in its time doesn't have auto saving nor checkpoints. But it allows you to restart a mission in case that you die and forget to sav (Game/Load/Restart).

How do you even manage to play PC games without quicksaving.

Most modern games have that feature, and I have a tendency to manually save every 15 minutes, but I couldn't figure out the Unreal menu.

You CAN quicksave and quickload. I forget which F keys they are bound to but the feature is there.
