Loading saved games always goes to pause

When I save a game and later go and try and load the saved games, it is in pause mode every time. There is no key on the keyboard that unpauses the game. It is just frozen in pause, and I have to hit the ESC key to go to the main menu, but then every time I try and load saved games, it goes into PAUSE, and nothing unpauses it.

This is not normal. It should not load into a paused screen. There are no settings in the game that shows how to pause or unpause, nor should this be happening at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

WOW thats a pretty weird problem you have there, let me take a look at my settings and i will see if i can come up with any ideas to solve your problem

I just figured it out. I select to turn off the desktop mode, still in full screen. Since this game originally came out in lower resolutions, I also saw it is not best to use the native default of 1080p on this game. Everything in the fonts looks too small at 1080p. So I select a 720p resolution, such as 1280 x 720 instead, which makes the fonts/words and game screen look more realistic and easier to read.

So the way out of the pause is to then hit the esc key, which brings up the desktop top menu and bottom yellow borders, and then to hit the esc key again to remove the borders, back into fullscreen/no borders game screen again, and walah! Unpaused!

I took a quick look at my setup and i believe YOUR GAME SAVE FILE IS CORRUPTED
tell me how far into the game are you ? are you playing through STEAM or UPLAY ?

I have a suggestion but i need to know the answers to the questions i have just asked you.. Thankyou.

Wait did you find a way to make it stop pausing or just a way to unpause it yourself? I am able to unpause it just by pressing the Pause puttong on the keyboard or pressing ESC and going back into the game but can't stop the game from pausing.
