No seriously.... I've simply grown accustomed to these keybindings from online gaming back in 1994-1998. The muscle memory is strong. It works well - and can usually re-map things how I like on pretty much every game (RTCW, BF2:PR, WWZ, RO2/RS1, PS/SQ44, HLL, Enlisted, etc..)
The only exception so far is ER2.
If you want full disclosure - I rest my 4 fingers on q-w-e-r and thumb on space. Its very comfortable, hence most common key controls are rebound somewhere near there, with easy access to T and F, TAB and Space. Barely have to move my hand to run, jump, duck, prone, aim, fire, left right, sprint, and reload all at the same time...plus select weaponry right above.
i.e. effectively can play for hours without moving my hand. I never understood WSAD style controls as it just seems like a way to induce, as mentioned, carpal tunnel syndrome in the left hand if one is not careful. ;)
