General suggestions to improve the game
First of all, I have to say, playing Easy Red 2 is the most fun I've had playing a WWII shooter since Battlefield 1942. It has been a blast especially for someone like me, who doesn't do online matches too often.

I have some suggestions though how to make the game overall more appealing to a wider audience and make it appear less-indie. Not looking for those COD or modern BF players, no worries. Just a few things to improve the experience:

- animations could be smoother, now they seem a bit stiff which breaks the immersion somewhat. Smoothing out the running and sprinting animations would go a long way.

- making the UI more streamlined, intuitive and compact. It feels like different ideas thrown together now. The inventory, compass, squad menu and other elements don't seems to match together too well. I'd recommend to choose a theme and go with that.

- swimming mechanics would be a welcome addition, looks kinda goofy how infantry drowns almost in an instant after going too deep.

- you know those little blue dots over your own men's heads? Your own squad should have them green.

- improving the 3rd person experience. As a long-time fan on Arma series, I enjoy playing in 3rd person from time to time, it's nice to see your own uniform and gear etc. Perhaps making it so that even when you're not aiming, the camera follows over your shoulder, just like in most 3rd person shooter games.

- having some basic furniture inside buildings. I know loading more props in increases the load and lowers performance, but it would make the maps seem much more immersive with some basic furniture, like couches, tables, rugs, radios etc. I really like how they did these in Hell Let Loose.

- I'd think it would be cool for airmen to actually enter their planes, take off and go into battle in some maps. I know it would take more time for them to get into battle and leave static airplanes on airfields open for enemy plane attacks, perhaps this could be tackled with placing AI anti-air troops and weapons for airfields?

That's pretty much what I'd like to see. Feel free to correct me if some of these features are already in the game and I'm blind.

To be realistic a soldier would shed their gear in that situation. The game would need a 'drop all gear' except the uniform and boots.
