I just recently finished reading The Story of Wake Island, a book about the defense by the Marine Commander on Wake
The American Wildcat seems to crash on takeoff, the AI seems to struggle on the airstrip
The first few rounds should be in the defender's (USA) favor. but the initial phase is essentially a give for the Japanese (establishing a beachead), whereas the second and third phase are distinctly favoring the US. By the last phase, the mission should again be easier for Japan. I thought I had the balancing issues hammered out, but if you feel it's too difficult early on as the Japanese I can look into it.
I corrected the Wildcat issue. It was just spawning in at a weird angle; I'll do so play testing and observe the AI. That said, I have the AI set to spawn only one Wildcat for each phase until the US loses the airstrip. The player can use the Wildcat as many times they wish.
Thanks for you feedback, really appreciate it.
