You're kidding right? It's a war game, war is violent and should be depicted as such.
Luckily, for people like you there is an option to disable gore.
Gore-wise, the game is good enough. I'd rather see better maps, two AI squads that in addition to yours can be given commands (have a proper 3 squad platoon) and a way to throw grenades around corners .
I second the grenades suggestion as well.
I have also been to war, I agree that nothing could realistically depict the carnage that can come from it. But when I see a NPC take a panzerfaust to the face and he just ragdolls away, it ruins the immersion for me knowing what that would actually do. But to your point on the squads and grenades, I do think that is a solid idea.
This is where all war games fall short. But it is the reality of war.
I wouldn't mind having civilian considerations to think of while playing, Modern Warfare 2019 did that and some other war games had that too and it does make things feel more alive and authentic. But children would be too much, I want this game to stay around, not get banned.
it could be a mod. nothing would put the dev in trouble for that.
