Why are most missions locked? And is there a way to set up a skirmish game with bots offline? i dont mean campaign i mean a skirmish game where i can select game mode and bot count

Missions are locked because because you need to beat the missions in historical order, think a COD campaign or a mario game

Im playing the tutorial, and iv frozen twice in two attempts while in the squad order wheel. is there a known reason for this?

No known reason, But ive beat almost every campaign and dlc without opening the tutorial once. you can still have fun in the game without, maybe post a separate discussion about this and the dev will respond

I haven't had any crashing issues while I am playing. I'll play some sessions of it to see if it'll happen on my end today.

Use Vulkan API. I crashed while playing on the DirectX11 version so I switched to Vulkan and didn't have any problems after that.

already switched to vulkan and public beta and disabled MSAA. Constant constant crashing. And constant locking up on tutorial

Verify the cache, disable Steam overlay, turn off Steam cloud saves, opt out of the beta but still use the Vulkan API, then be sure to disable Steam input for controllers and not to have any controllers plugged in at all.

did all that but infact i am playing with controller

il try disable steam controller input. last thing to try

Maybe it is related to the controller? Is there any reason why you can't play with a mouse & keyboard or just prefer controller?

i always use a mix of controller and mouse, or just controller. playing from a TV sat back a ways,and no interest in ever using WASD for anything

Dev has started looking into it, but it seems to be a pretty fresh issue.

You can always try to figure it out on your own in game, or just sidestep the issue by not playing as Squad Leader or Radioman (who often winds up in command and once eliminated from the squad the command wheel has far less options).

Dev has started looking into it, but it seems to be a pretty fresh issue.

You can always try to figure it out on your own in game, or just sidestep the issue by not playing as Squad Leader or Radioman (who often winds up in command and once eliminated from the squad the command wheel has far less options).

No im crashing on every single mission i play also. Seems a serious issue. Tried every fix many people suggest. Iv 70 minutes played, 7-9 freezes or crashes seemingly at random now. Im going to give the dev a day or two to try fix it before i refund. But im not booting game up again till theres solid word that its been fixed. Appreciate its a good one man dev team but im not bothering to play games that dont work anymore. As far as i can tell, Makin is crashing its been released a few days already,assuming the issue started with that DLC and its not been addressed yet,its hard for me to recommend myself continuing on, but we will see.

Thanks to the log files reported by some users and apparently we manged to find and fix this bug.
Make sure to update the game to get the recent fix!

I also want to apologize for the issue, we try to deliver updates as fast as we can and that can cause issues like this sometimes. We will try to be more carefull in the future.
