I personally want them to add an option to hide the emotes, because they are spammy and distracting.

An option to disable emotes seem fair. (Neither see, nor send)
In the meantime, I hope you are able to not be bothered by it.
If they are griefing you. Remember that it's not about you. It's essentially what they think about themselves. And if you can learn to pity them instead of being hurt by them. You'll have nothing to worry about.

even more toxic is the new 'less toxic' clover Luck emote, which people now spam you with every time you beat them to signify that they believe they're better than you.

Looks like I hit a bit too close to home. I'm sorry about that. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want. I recognize the hurt here, and I get how hard it can be to let down your defences, and see that everything isn't personal.
