Modding on Steam Deck

is it possible to mod the game on the Steam Deck? from what I've seen Vortex doesn't work on Linux systems and I really want to play this on the go

I don't know the answer, but what makes the game fun for me is that we gotta constantly deal with primeval creature attacks from all sides, which makes the Abyss feel alive in my opinion and sorta balances the overpowered sneak ability of the character. I was glad to encounter that and shocked to learn most players dislike this mechanic, the Abyss isn't meant to be a picnic/sightseeing location considering the presence of its inhabitants and the curse. There are items that temporarily suppress the spawning of creatures in the game and some who install the mod don't know about them. Would prefer a mod that allows players to control primeval creatures rather than change how the Abyss works by removing danger from it.

Mods work perfectly on the Steam Deck!
I played through the entire game with mods on my Steam deck.
All the mods will have to be installed manually though, since Vortex is not supported on Linux.

I actually did this some time ago and they told me most mods were incompatible

I randomly bought this game as I'm a fan of survival crafting games. I found mods do install properly on the Deck. So far, I've been enjoying the game without the obnoxious 10 minutes of splash screens.

I am not sure if mods are all installing properly though, as there's no guidance on where they would need to be placed, but so far they seem to be working just fine.
